Yousef manages the Hotel's restaurant. Like much of Bethlehem, the Hotel was modernised for the millennium and expanded to 72 rooms to cater for the expected growth in tourist numbers. Since the building of the wall those hopes have faded. The night that I arrived, I was the only guest.
