The hospital is run by the Sovereign Order of Malta. Developed from a Daughters of Charity convent, this is now a modern maternity hospital which boasts that, ‘the poorest deserve the best’.

Patients pay what they can afford with the UN, international aid and the Order of Malta paying the balance.
