Daoud's family have farmed this land for three generations. In 1991 as part of the strategy to expand nearby settlements, Israel declared this as state land.

Daoud’s family had ownership documents going back to the days of the Ottoman Empire. These were all rejected by the Israeli courts that have challenged their ownership of the farm for the last 17 years.
